Café Trastevere is named from the charming medieval neighborhood on the outskirts of Rome, and this restaurant brings the heart of Italy to the City Beautiful. In mild weather, this is the most romantic dinner setting in town, with candlelit tables set on terraces overlooking Magnolia Avenue. The interior dining rooms are comfortable and the ambience of the restaurant creates a glow at every table.

Guests feel at home with the wonderfully charming Portuguese owner, host and sommelier, Santos, whose warmth and charm set the tone of this authentic restaurant. Co-owner and Chef Philippe Meiffret, from Nice on the southeast coast of France, brings the warm, bright flavors of the Mediterranean to the glorious menu at the caffe.

The cooking is as delicious as the view is romantic, offering an inventive take on Italian cuisine based on Northern and Southern Italian traditions using the freshest ingredients.
